2009, A Retrospective

2009, you’ve been pretty good to me. I’ll have to admit that I was doubtful this year would have been a good one, but it was better than I could have ever imagined and I feel extremely blessed. I could just ramble on about everything, but I thought it would be better to make a quick list of some things — oh, nine of them to be exact (haha, you know I couldn’t resist) — that have been notable, helped me grow, and changed my life in one way or another.

01 . Getting to know my family much better and being able to spend time with my grandmother in Hong Kong
02 . Watching Lucy grow up from a cute little pupster
03 . Picking up my camera again
04 . The ability to call each one of these cities “home” at one time or another this year:
        + New York, NY
        + Brooklyn, NY
        + San Diego, CA
        + Sacramento, CA
        + Hong Kong, Hong Kong
05 . Learning to let things and people go
06 . Having a great soundtrack for the year
+ The Avett Brothers – I and Love and You
+ Phoenix – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
        + Taylor Swift – Fearless
+ Lady GaGa – The Fame Monster (admit it, she’s on your playlist too)
+ Bon Iver – Blood Bank EP
        + Glee Soundtrack
07 . Joining a softball team that has since become my community — it’s such a blessing!
08 . People who I enjoy, but don’t personally know, though I wish I did. What? I’m a blogstalker.
09 . Having friends who inspire me with their lives daily, hourly, minutely, secondly, nanosecondly :)

Cheers, 2009. It’s been nice knowin’ ya. :)
